[New Feature] Get all the materials for a garment from a single photo

Thank you for using ApparelX.

We have launched “Suggest materials from a photo”. Just choose one photo of a garment, and AI reads how the garment is made and suggests the materials you need for each part, such as outer fabric, lining, interfacing, buttons and zippers, from the items on ApparelX. You can use it without signing up.

How to use it

• On the search page, click “Get material suggestions from a garment photo ›” under the photo box. On smartphones, it is above the item list.

• Click “Choose a photo or design sketch of a garment”, choose a photo or a design sketch, and click “Suggest materials”. The suggestion appears in about 10 to 20 seconds.

• On the left you can see how the AI read the garment (garment type, front closure, collar, sleeves, pockets and more). Tap anything that is not right to correct it, and the suggestion updates right away.

• On the right, candidates are listed for each part. The recommended first choice is marked, and you can tap a card to choose another one. You can also open “More options” or remove parts you do not need. A guide quantity is shown for each part (for example, 1.8–2.2 m of outer fabric).

Add the selected materials to a bag at once, or ask our staff

Members can click “Add selected materials to a bag” to put all the selected materials into a new shopping bag at once. The guide quantities are entered, so please adjust them in the bag before you order.

If you are not sure which to choose, click “Ask our staff”. Our staff will check the suggestion and contact you by email.

You can see suggestions without signing up. To see prices, add materials to a bag or ask our staff, please log in.

Please note

• Suggestions are made by AI and are only a guide, so they may not always be right. Please check the item pages before you buy. Quantities vary with the size and the fabric width.

• Photos are deleted after 7 days and are not used to train AI. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

• If you choose a close-up photo of a fabric or trim, we guide you to find similar items by photo on the search page.

• When you send a photo of a garment to Mr. EXCY in the chat, Mr. EXCY also guides you to this page.
