Hello.
This is Kayaba from the ApparelX trend blog.
Today, I’d like to introduce fabrics from COSMO TEXTILE.
The maker page is here → search.php?maker=124
In this blog, we provide an overview of COSMO TEXTILE and introduce its products for those in the apparel business who are looking for fabrics for men’s wear or men’s-like casual clothing.
Cosmo Textile Co., Ltd. is a wholesale company established in Osaka in 1951 that plans, produces, and sells apparel textiles.
It mainly handles materials centered on natural fibers, and in addition to standard products, it announces new products each season to match trends and needs.
As one of Japan’s leading textile converters, Cosmo Textile is primarily involved in hobby (handicraft) and fashion (apparel) businesses.
As for its fashion business, as mentioned above, it offers a wide variety of men’s casual textiles, especially those centered on natural fibers.
Chino, drill, moleskin, and ripstop are some of its strengths, along with pants textiles for casual wear.

As of 2024/03/08, more than 110 product numbers from two standard fabric sample cards from Cosmo Textile are listed.
Also, even fabrics not listed on ApaprelX are often available on request, so if the COSMO TEXTILE fabric you want is not listed, please contact us through the Support Center.
Here we introduce COSMO TEXTILE standard fabrics and popular fabrics.
If you would like to view the products in a list, please see the ApparelX maker page here.

This is a standard chino cloth. Another feature is its rich color variation, with subtle nuanced shades also available. It has sufficient density, so if you’re looking for chino cloth and haven’t decided yet, this is a safe choice to start with.

This chino cloth uses highly traceable TRUECOTTON (organic cotton).
By using compact yarn—a type of modern spinning technology that wraps fuzz into the yarn to spin a smooth, lustrous yarn with little pilling while keeping the same yarn thickness—the surface has a clean finish.

This is a rugged fabric woven as tightly as possible using T/C blended yarn.
High-density poplin (buff) refers to a plain weave fabric woven with high density.
Because it is a T/C material, it is lighter than 100% cotton, and on the roll side it has a rugged look, with a lightness beyond what you’d expect and water-repellent processing, making it a highly functional material as well.

When you think of COSMO TEXTILE, you get the impression of fabrics that evoke a military feel.
Among them, back satin is a true standard. This one has just the right amount of uneven texture, giving it a vintage military look.

Another fabric that, personally, says “COSMO TEXTILE” to me is moleskin.
There are other variations as well, such as the cotton-nylon BD3670, so if you’re looking for moleskin, COSMO TEXTILE is recommended.
Thank you for reading to the end.
COSMO TEXTILE offers many fabrics for men’s casual wear, especially with a military taste, but as with the high-density poplin introduced earlier, it also has materials that are more versatile than they look.
Please consider COSMO TEXTILE fabrics!
