① Mascot characters

I recently moved to Shin-Koiwa. One day, while waiting for a friend at the station ticket gate, I noticed at the staff counter the “dog staff member” shown in the photo below. Seeing that face diligently working while wearing a mask in line with the times, I thought it was too cute and selfishly took a photo.

For everyone living in Japan, mascot characters like this may be familiar and ordinary, but to me they were heartwarming.

I also think the vending machines below are not ordinary vending machines.

② Pet carts and pet graves

In Japanese cities, you often see elderly men and women taking their pets for walks or shopping in pet carts, as shown in the photo below.

The first time I saw one, I thought it was incredibly cute.

I had never seen a pet cart like this in China, so I think this cart is very convenient and easy to use.

I raised a white female dog named GUAIGUAI from second grade of elementary school. When I was a third-year university student, GUAIGUAI was 14 years old, and because she was getting old, she passed away naturally.

In her last few months, even when I wanted to take her out for a walk, she had no strength and couldn’t walk anywhere.

So I always carried her around in a bag, but the ride may not have been comfortable, and she didn’t seem happy.

At that time, I really wished we had a pet cart like this.
