Thank you very much for using our services.
Chinese New Year is coming soon. We believe many Japanese users of ApparelX are companies expanding into China, and that knowing when the Chinese New Year holiday period is is an absolutely essential point, so we would like to share information about Chinese New Year.
Chinese New Year is a major holiday in China, so purchasing and customer stores on Alibaba, Taobao, and elsewhere will be closed.
Not only that, but production factories and logistics companies will also be shut down. In other words, business across China comes to a halt, so no purchasing can be done at all during this period.
Labor Day in May and National Day in October are also major holidays in China. Please note.
Chinese New Year is also called Lunar New Year. It refers to the first month of the lunar calendar, mainly January 1. It is designated as a public holiday not only in China, but also in countries such as Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
The Chinese New Year holiday period in 2023 is January 21 to 27. (China's Labor Day in May and National Day in October use the Gregorian calendar.)
2023 South Korea Lunar New Year (Seollal): 3 days from January 21 to January 23
2023 Vietnam Tet holiday (Lunar New Year): 7 days from Friday, January 20 to Thursday, January 26
2023 Taiwan Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year): Friday, January 20 to Sunday, January 29
2023 Hong Kong Chinese New Year: Sunday, January 22 to Wednesday, January 25
2023 Singapore movable public holidays: January 22 and 23
2023 Malaysia Lunar New Year: January 22 to 23, Sunday to Monday
I think many companies expanding into China use SF Express logistics services. ApparelX Global also uses SF Express services for China.
Now, we would like to share SF Express's business hours during the 2023 Chinese New Year period.
SF Express will operate normally in Japan, but due to the suspension of import/export customs clearance operations in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, delays are expected in local pickup and delivery services. Please refer to the schedule for some gateways in China below.
