Hello!
I’m Hirama from the Global Team, in charge of the U.S.
Lately, we’ve been receiving more and more orders from U.S. customers for sample cards of various ripstop textiles~.
When it comes to ripstop, there are really all kinds of types, including cotton, nylon, and blended materials.
We still don’t know what kind of products they’ll become, but this time I’d like to introduce a few.
When you think of ripstop, the first things that come to mind are nylon or cotton.
Lightweight, crisp-feeling nylon ripstop is popular for outerwear, bags, and more, while slightly matte, sturdier cotton ripstop is perfect for cargo pants and workwear.
Recently, we’ve also been seeing more nylon-cotton blended ripstop that sits somewhere in between, as well as fashion-oriented fabrics with a focus on color variety and texture.

Even in the U.S., Japanese-made ripstop is very well received, and we often hear comments like, “Japanese textiles are consistent in quality and easy to work with.”
Seeing it attract attention overseas like this makes us appreciate the quality of Japanese materials all over again.
We’re very excited to see what kind of items they’ll become.
