The Best Interfacing for Cotton and Linen Blazers -- Tokai Thermo’s RE Series

Hello everyone, I’m Dong from ApparelX’s Global Strategy Office.

Today, I’d like to introduce interfacing from Tokai Thermo, a very popular manufacturer in Japan.

RE3030

This fusible interfacing is lightweight and soft with a crisp hand, and has the best depth of color in the series.

Because it uses a special weave, its fullness is 1.5 times that of Tokai Thermo’s previous interfacing made with the same yarn. Since there is space between the yarns in this interfacing, it has a very lofty feel, eliminating the stiff impression of conventional fusible interfacings and giving the fabric a natural, refined shape.

Physical Comparison

Seeing is believing: below is a comparison between the newly developed RE3030 and the previous version. The same thickness of yarn was used on both the left and right, and the interfacing length and width were the same. As you can see, the new RE3030 on the left is thicker and has more space and volume.

Finished Result

Using a lofty interfacing like RE3030 gives even relatively thin cotton or linen materials a crisp feel, making a jacket both sharp and well-fitted.

What do you think? If you’re looking for an interfacing for jackets made from cotton, linen, or similar materials, don’t miss RE3030.
