This is Choe from the ApparelX trend blog.
This time, I’d like to introduce 2026 trend textiles from KOMATSUWA TEXTILE, a brand famous for natural fibers.
KOMATSUWA TEXTILE Co., Ltd. plans, develops, and sells textiles, and is a textile manufacturer committed to natural fibers, soft colors, and textile finishes.
Although it was founded in 2006, it was originally established as a spinoff from its parent company, Komatsuwa Co., Ltd. (founded in 1955) in July 2006.
These are the defining features of this manufacturer.
We received trend information on new products from KOMATSUWA TEXTILE shown at an exhibition held in April 2026!

① Specification: 138 cm (usable width 135 cm) × 24 m random roll
② Industry weight: 156 g/㎡
③ Material: 100% cotton (strong twist)
Both warp and weft use 40-count strong-twist thread, and the textile is said to be made with a focus on thread selection to create a more natural washed look, added roughness, and a cool feel.
It is a popular textile, so more colors are planned!
When you actually view it on the product page, the textile colors are very beautiful, and personally, I like color #2 saxe.

① Specification: 130 cm (usable width 125 cm) × 22 m random roll
② Industry weight: 133 g/㎡
③ Material: 100% linen
Both warp and weft use 60-count linen, and this textile is made with a texture different from that of
This textile is also popular, so more colors will be added.
It is a thinner textile with a natural feel, dry touch, and natural wrinkles, which are very appealing.
There are still only a few colors, but if more naturally toned colors are added, I think it will become even more popular in the spring/summer season.
* This product is not yet listed on ApparelX, so it will be added in the future.
This textile is quilted slowly on a vintage quilting loom by a craftsman in Kyoto, reducing tension through gentle movement.
To create texture, it uses a new finishing process (hanazuri dyeing), and unlike
The new products seem to have been especially well received, but surprisingly, linen products were also popular.

① Specification: 140 cm (usable width 132 cm) × 22 m random roll
② Industry weight: 231 gsm
③ Material: 100% linen
It is a thick textile with a vintage feel.
It comes in a wide range of colors and has a soft, canvas-like feel, so it can be used for many different items.

① Specification: 146 cm (usable width 142 cm) × 19~25 m random roll
② Industry weight: 272 gsm
③ Material: 100% linen
This textile is thicker than KINANADAKI-3 introduced above.
It also has a vintage feel and a canvas-like look.
It is suitable for items such as pants and bags.
There are fewer colors than KINANADAKI-3, but there are also some non-overlapping colors, so
if you are looking for slightly more subdued colors, this textile is recommended.

① Specification: 138 cm (usable width 132 cm) × 23 m random roll
② Industry weight: 200 gsm
③ Material: 100% linen
Although it only comes in black and natural, it has a very natural feel and a unique texture,
so even when used for items with a simple design, it can create an interesting look.
The natural wrinkled look is very nice.

① Specification: 150 cm × 25 m random roll (usable width 145 cm)
② Material: 100% cotton
This textile has a different feel from the ones introduced above.
It is a standard 30/- cotton twill, but with AZUMADAKI processing it becomes soft and voluminous in texture.
There are many natural-toned colors, and some have subtle differences, so I think it is easier to use.

① Specification: 135 cm × 25 m random roll
② Industry weight: 142 gsm
③ Material: 100% cotton
This textile has very appealing yellow and brown tones.
Because it is thin, it is an easy-to-use textile for shirt and blouse items in the spring/summer season.

① Specification: 143 cm × 25 m random roll
② Industry weight: 187 gsm
③ Material: 100% cotton
Compared with other textiles, this one is relatively darker and has many deep, dark colors, giving it an attractive calm atmosphere.
It also has a dry, natural wrinkled look, making it recommended for items such as shirts.
As a side note, the KOMATSUWA TEXTILE fabrics that are popular in Korea, which I handle, include
KINANADAKI-12, ORIHIMEDAKI-1, and KINANADAKI-22.
Not only in Japan, but also overseas, the popular textiles differ by country, and it is interesting how local trends and sensibilities are reflected in each country.
What did you think? Thank you for reading to the end.
It is already the summer season, and recently textiles with a natural and organic feel have been well received.
I hope this blog is helpful when you are looking for textiles.
