SHINDO’s Commitment to the SDGs

At SHINDO, the SC Division obtained ISO 14001:2004*1 in 2007.

Since 2009, we have been proactively obtaining Ecotex® Standard 100 / Class I*2 certification for standard products and other items from Tanshi.I.C.

In 2021, SHINDO was registered as a "Fukui Women’s Empowerment Promotion Company Plus+"*3.

Even before the terms SDGs and sustainable became widely recognized, the company has been carrying out business activities aimed at realizing a sustainable society.

The required level of safety differs depending on the product’s intended use. Class I has the strictest standards, taking into account the highly sensitive skin of infants.

Ecotex® is a certificate for textile products that are friendly to people and the planet, and it strictly checks not only the world’s highest level of textile product safety, but also whether production systems take the environment and workers into consideration. *3 This certification is available to companies in Fukui Prefecture that are registered as "Fukui Women’s Empowerment Promotion Companies" and that take even more advanced initiatives to promote women’s participation.
