CORDURA® is a trademark of Invista in the U.S. for Cordura thread, which is excellent in durability and water resistance.

CORDURA® textiles come in many varieties, and nylon products with seven times the strength of ordinary nylon are attracting the most attention. In recent years, we have also been working on textiles such as eco-made fabric made from recycled polyester thread, with a constant awareness of the need to act responsibly on issues such as sustainability.

Why is CORDURA® nylon so durable and water-repellent?

Durability: Because Invista uses its own high-strength CORDURA® thread, produced with unique technology. Cordura textile has a special structure that gives it excellent abrasion resistance and tear strength, and it also has a light, soft texture.

Water repellency: CORDURA® water-repellent finishing is usually DWR applied to the face side and PU applied to the back side (not all textiles receive this treatment), and because both the front and back are treated for waterproofing, the waterproof performance is strong.
