FAQ

Frequently asked questions about this product:

Can you handle custom orders for products?

Yes, it is possible.
However, there will be a minimum order quantity and lead time.
The minimum order quantity varies depending on the product.
The lead time is about 2 months from order placement.
For details, please contact us via the support page.

Can you arrange LAMPO zippers that are not listed?

Okura Shoji is LAMPO’s authorized distributor in Japan, so we can arrange all of Super Lampo, Metal Standard, Coil, and Moulded (Vislon).

Are there logos on LAMPO sliders?

The sliders for SL and 73 have a logo.
AVK and XD do not have a logo.

Please tell me the size of the LAMPO element (teeth).

Size 3: 4.5mm
Size 5: 6mm
Size 8: 8mm
.

How many closed-end zippers can be made from the leftover portion of LAMPO (LAMPO) open, two way separator zippers?

To make a closed-end zipper, you need an extra 6 cm per zipper in addition to the desired length.
(For example, to make a 20 cm closed-end zipper, a length of 26 cm is required.)
Depending on the length you need, we may not be able to make the required length, so please contact us if you are unsure.

What color is the slider on the nickel silver metal zipper?

It is nickel-colored. Nickel silver has a slight yellow tint like a 500-yen coin, but nickel color is a whitish, bright silver color.

Can the slider color be changed?

Yes, it is possible. As a general rule, if nothing is specified, metal zippers come with sliders in the same color as the element, and other zippers come with sliders in the same color as the tape color.
(Sliders with an attached pull tab are available in metal color only.)
The slider color shown on the product page is for reference, so the color will vary depending on the zipper you order.
If you would like to change the slider color, please note it in the order memo.

Which slider should I choose if I want to attach a pull tab later?

Please choose a CA, ZA, ZF, or other slider that can be fitted with a pull tab afterward.
The difference between CA and ZA/ZF is whether a pull tab can be attached from the base or not.
Pull tabs are sold by various manufacturers, but the specifications determine whether they can be attached to CA or ZA, so please check carefully.
The color options for retrofit sliders are limited to metal colors only.

Is it possible to order only the slider for a YKK zipper?

Basically, we are unable to accept orders for sliders only, but it is possible to arrange them if they are ordered together with a chain zipper or used for a zipper previously purchased from APPARELX.
In that case, please contact us via the contact form on the Support Page with the type and size of the YKK zipper you purchased, the slider color, the slider product number, and the quantity. We will reply after confirmation.

I would like to order a two way separator zipper with different sliders on the top and bottom. How should I do that?

If you note the desired upper and lower sliders in the zipper memo field when placing your order, we will change them to the sliders you want and arrange the order accordingly.

Is it possible to obtain the comprehensive zipper catalog "FASTENING Senka"?

The booklet-type FASTENING SENKA has now been discontinued. We apologize for the inconvenience, but it can be downloaded from YKK's website, so please check there.
https://www.ykkfastening.com/japan/catalog/

How should I choose between sliders with locks and without locks?

You can determine this from the second letter of the slider product number.
“A” = automatic lock (the slider locks automatically when you let go of the pull tab, and unlocks when you pull the pull tab)
“F” = non-lock (a slider with no locking function, regardless of the position of the pull tab on the body)
“N” = notch lock (a notch is attached to the shoulder of the body, and it locks when opened by bringing the chain against the shoulder)
“W” = reversible (pull tabs are attached to the front and back, so it can be opened from either side)
“U” = reversible (an automatic slider with one pull tab that can move along the rotating rail and can be opened and closed from either the front or back.)

I want to place an order for a color or slider that is not listed on the product page. What should I do?

If you enter your preferred color and slider in the zipper memo field when placing your order, we will make the change and arrange it for you.

I selected Lead Time Priority (custom production), but what does custom length processing from longer stock mean?

As for zipper inventory, products other than 2CHC concealed zippers are not stocked in the exact length you specify. For made-to-order production, we can process a longer zipper to make it, which shortens the delivery time but increases the unit price. If you want it processed from longer stock and need it right away, please select "Delivery priority (higher unit price)."

The article below is about coil zippers, but it also explains zipper inventory.

Can you arrange only the hardware, such as the top stops and bottom stops, for a zipper?

We generally do not accept orders for hardware only, but if you arrange the zipper chain, we can arrange it for you.

Can I order a zipper in a length that cannot be selected?

If the length you want is not available, please write your desired length in the order memo when placing your order.
If the unit price changes, the person in charge will confirm it and contact you by email.
