With a very high weave
density, it has an extremely fine, moist texture and a thick, substantial feel.
These are qualities you can feel only in premium fabric such as
habutae silk.
This is clearly reflected in its appearance as well, with an elegant, luxurious sheen that is never gaudy.
A simple
cross tie of reliable quality will transform you into a sophisticated adult.
You can wear it confidently at any formal occasion, whether a royal event, awards ceremony, society gathering, reception, wedding, or concert.
The habutae silk used here is woven in a small textile workshop in
Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, one of Japan’s leading silk-producing regions. Fujiyoshida is a historic production area with origins dating back to the Heian period. This land, where spring water from Mt. Fuji flows, has the clean water that is essential for good dyeing.
In the
weaving process, Yamamoto’s blended habutae silk uses as many as 13,000
warp threads in a width of just 47 cm, and the
weft uses 120-denier yarns double-twisted into an amazingly thick 240-denier yarn.
Slow weaving on a shuttle loom traps air in the fabric, creating a three-dimensional texture, and artisans constantly inspect it for any flaws. Each step—dyeing, silk spinning, warp preparation, and weaving—is carried out under strict quality control by craftsmen dedicated to making excellent products for our customers.
This is a product we recommend with the greatest confidence and pride.
