YZiP(R) (Y-zip) for jeans is a metal zipper that can be used for washing processes such as one-wash.
The elements are made of red brass and nickel silver, and each element is thicker than ordinary metal zipper, improving physical strength.
Also, like standard metal zipper, there are color variations depending on the surface treatment of the elements.
*Dull silver is tin-plated, so depending on the usage conditions and the number of times it is opened and closed, the tin plating may peel off from the element surface. Even if it is factory processing, the quality characteristics of the tin-plated finish require the customer's consent.

Dull silver is only available at YKK factory processing, so it will take about 3-4 weeks to deliver. We are very sorry, but the open type zipper will be discontinued in all sizes as of March 2022.

Is possible. For open zipper, the part number ends with OR for right insertion and OL for left insertion. In the case of a two way separator zipper, the end of the part number is MR for right insertion and ML for left insertion.

How should I choose the slider with or without lock?

You can judge by the second letter of the slider part number.
"A" = automatic lock (When you release the hand from the Zipper’s Pull Tab automatically is locked, the lock is disengaged by pulling the Zipper’s Pull Tab)
"F" = non-locking (slider that does not lock the pull tab at any position on the fuselage)
"N" = Notch lock (The torso has a notch on the shoulder and locks when the chain is opened so that it touches the shoulder)
"W" = reversible (there are Zipper’s Pull Tab on the front and back, which can be opened from both)
