WALDES® Vintage Aluminum Zipper Size 5 Cotton Tape Open

This carefully crafted product faithfully recreates the manufacturing methods and materials of the 1930s to 1950s, centered on zippers from that era.
Using non-ferrous metals such as aluminum (AL), red brass (G), and nickel silver (N) for the element material, it reflects one of the oldest manufacturing methods in zipper history.
The press-formed elements have a substantial feel, and since they are not plated, they offer a unique atmosphere that lets you enjoy the aging of the material itself over time.

About WALDES®
It is a historic zipper brand that existed in 1930s America.
By obtaining the trademark rights to this brand, which had faded away over time and become free to use, it was reissued as a vintage zipper.

1. It faithfully reproduces the manufacturing methods and standards of the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s.
① The tape is woven using 100% cotton thread on traditional power looms. The weft yarn is tightly beaten in to create a strong tape.
② The cord is separately twisted from 100% cotton thread and carefully sewn onto the tape.
③ The slider, open-end hardware, and stop hardware reproduce the shapes and feel of the time.

2. Features of WALDES Zipper
① No plating is applied to the elements. As a result, the zipper ages along with leather and denim.
For that reason, it creates a distinctive vintage feel unmatched by other companies.
② There are many specification options such as sliders, open-end hardware, and stop hardware, allowing uncompromising selection of accessories to match the product.
③ Cotton in particular has a unique texture and material feel, and is an environmentally friendly product.
④ The material feel of the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s is suitable for modern vintage fashion.
⑤ Supports small lots, many varieties, and short delivery times.
⑥ Samples can be handled quickly from one piece, and for mass production as well, we will consult with the customer and respond with short delivery times.

3. Product notes
① Compared with polyester, cotton tape is inferior in friction resistance, tensile strength, and colorfastness. In addition, depending on the environment and conditions, the product dimensions may shrink.
② The cotton tape has a colorfastness rating of grade 3 or lower. Please note that color transfer and fading are likely to occur due to processing, washing, friction, sweat, and light.
③ Cotton tape may vary slightly in color depending on the dye lot.
④ Due to the shape of the elements, metal zippers may have different slider glide characteristics between the top and bottom, such as for two-way open-end or W specifications.
⑤ The AG and BK specifications of the elements are not plated; they are specially processed with chemicals. During sewing, the color of the elements may transfer to the fabric. The surface may also change due to friction or post-processing.
* Zippers come in various types depending on the application. Please choose the appropriate type by considering the required strength and durability for the item being used.
We cannot accept any responsibility for defects caused by post-processing by the customer, so please use the product with this understanding.
Also, if post-processing is performed, changes or effects may occur to the zipper depending on the processing method, chemicals, dyes, and environment.
