This all-black, matte-coated water repellent zipper a matte film treatment on the tape surface. This resin coil zipper features a waterproof zipper that hides the zipper element when closed. (It is not completely waterproof.) This two-way zipper with a matching top closure can be trimmed to length with zipper. It comes with a black metal pull tab. This non-locking slider zipper is ideal for bags and backpacks. When sewing the zipper with a sewing machine, use a zipper presser foot. To shorten the zipper, if you are hand sewing, insert the needle from the back of the tape at the desired location for the stop stitch, as shown in the diagram. (Tie a knot at the beginning of the stitch and a knot at the end.) If you are using a sewing machine to stop the stop stitch, adjust the stitch width so that it overlaps the element. The slider will stop at the stop stitch. The excess tape can be trimmed with scissors. (The bottom stop is hard and cannot be cut with scissors.)
