MAINETTI: On May 5, 1961, the four Mainetti brothers, Romeo, Mario, Gianni, and Luigi, founded Fratelli Mainetti (Mainetti Brothers) in San Quirico, Tuscany, Italy. We held a small workshop.
The innovative idea and quality of mass-producing wooden hangers, which are heavy, easily broken, and take a long time to produce in terms of cost and production time, gained rave reviews, and Italy, a region where fashion brands were established one after another after the war, became popular. It didn't take long for us to start supplying hangers to world-class brands and manufacturers.
Today, as we celebrate our 60th anniversary in 2021, we have become the world's largest hanger manufacturer, planning and producing more than 6 billion hangers a year at 90 locations in 50 countries around the world, including our Italian factory in Vicenza, Veneto. .

SARTORIALE: About 20 years ago, when the word "sustainable" was not yet as common as it is today, and words like "eco" and "forest conservation" were still being loudly proclaimed, a certain tailor made a difficult request. "I want you to make a hanger that looks like a wooden hanger, but is durable and light." After much trial and error, the hanger that was finally completed was made of a special foamed resin material, had a texture like wood grain, and was heavy and durable.
There are standards for determining whether a neck-to-shoulder incline is "angry shoulders" if it is over 20 degrees, or "round shoulders" if it is below that, but SARTORIALE's incline is set at 17 degrees based on ergonomics. The neck width is 12cm, and the thickness of the hanger shoulder tip is 53mm, and it is an exquisite form that was arrived at after extensive research to allow the suit, also known as combat clothing, to rest comfortably.
