The rounded needle tip and minimal bulge at the eye reduce thread splitting and let the needle pass through smoothly. Because the bulge at the eye is small, it is less likely to damage the fabric or sewing thread when pulling the needle out, giving the finished work a clean appearance. Fits seed beads.
