What "sōkazukuri" means: It is a traditional Japanese forging method in which heated iron and steel are hammered by hand, without using a mold, to create everything from thickness to shape entirely by hand. At present, many of the grip scissors made in Japan are produced using "composite steel," in which iron and steel are pre-bonded. By contrast, sōkazukuri does not use composite materials; iron and steel are heated to about 1,000°C in a flame, then joined while being hammered with a hammer. At the same time, the shape is also refined. Joining iron and steel is extremely difficult, and this inefficient method often fails, but it makes it possible to achieve a finished product with attention to the finest details, such as spring strength, the feel of the grip, and blade balance.

These are the ultimate small scissors, handcrafted by skilled artisans who heat iron and steel in flames of approximately 1000 degrees Celsius without using molds, and then hammer them to create the perfect thickness and shape. Although it's on the pricier side, it has excellent cutting performance and can be used for many years, so please give it a try.
